Raburn gets key hit to cap Tigers' comeback over Jays
Baseball Betting Lines
07/25/2010 - Detroit, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Ryan Raburn hit a go-ahead three-run double in the eighth inning to give the Tigers a 6-5 comeback victory over the Blue Jays to wrap up a day-night doubleheader and a four-game series.
As a result of Friday's game being postponed due to rain, the teams had to play two on Sunday, and the Jays won the day game, 5-3, on Lyle Overbay's two- run homer in the ninth inning.
Toronto appeared on its way to a third straight win in the nightcap, leading 4-2 prior to Detroit plating four in the game-altering frame.
Miguel Cabrera and Johnny Damon each had two hits and an RBI for the Tigers, who earned a split in the series with just their third win in 12 games.
DeWayne Wise had three hits and two RBI, including a solo homer off Jose Valverde in the ninth that pulled Toronto within one.
Valverde, however, retired pinch-hitter Vernon Wells and struck out Fred Lewis and Yunel Escobar in succession to notch his 21st save of the season.
Toronto's Brian Tallet threw a 1-2-3 seventh and stayed on for the eighth before getting pulled with two on and one out. Cabrera greeted Jason Frasor (3-3) with an RBI double, and Brennan Boesch was walked intentionally walked to load the bases for Raburn, who cleared the bags with a drive to left-center to give the hosts a much-needed 6-4 cushion.
Neither starter factored in the decision, with reliever Phil Coke (6-1) getting the win for a throwing scoreless eighth inning. Jeremy Bonderman was touched for four runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 frames for Detroit, while the Jays' Jesse Litsch yielded two runs on five hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings.
Both hurlers were on top of their game in the early going, keeping things scoreless until the fifth. Edwin Encarnacion led off that frame with a single and raced around to score on Lewis' two-out triple to center.
Jose Bautista then launched his league-leading 27th home run leading off the next inning. Bonderman was pulled later in the frame with two on and two out, and Brad Thomas and Eddie Bonine gave up run-scoring hits to Wise and John McDonald, respectively, for a 4-0 game.
The hosts finally got to Litsch in the bottom half, as Damon singled home Austin Jackson, who led off with a triple, and later scored on Boesch's sacrifice fly off Tallet.

Super Bowl XLIII Betting - Super Bowl 2009
Super Bowl 2009, the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.Let’s take a look at the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds and the betting line and figure out where they’ve been and where they are going to go.
MySportsbook.com put up the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds late on Sunday night with the Pittsburgh Steelers favored by 6.5 points and a total betting line at 47.5 points.
Since then, however, the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds have seen a good deal of movement and you’ll want to be on top of where they are likely to move to make sure you get the best line value for the big game.
Since opening, the Super Bowl 2009 betting lines went to Steelers -7 in the span of roughly 3 hours but were quickly bought back down just minutes later to 6.5 again.
After that is took about 5-6 more hours before the betting line went back to -7 where it has sat for a while now and is likely to remain. The opening betting total of 47.5 was bet down right after the line became available and went to 47 within minutes.
Roughly a day later it has been bet even further down to the 46.5 tally it currently is set at.
Roughly 60% of gamblers seem to be on the Cardinals here so the point spread will be bet down and a 7.5 would not last very long at all with many taking the early 6.5 in hopes of finding a potential middle in the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds.
If you like Arizona and see a 7.5, I’d take it as soon as possible because it’s unlikely to last. For Pittsburgh backers, the -7 might be the best you’ll be able to find but a 6.5 is definitely possible close to game time.
Regarding the Super Bowl 2009 betting odds for the total, most tracked gamblers are already on the over and with those who took the under 47.5 already securing a middle on the over 46.5, the only way I see it moving is back up to 47 so if you like the over, I’d recommend betting now.
