"It was a great effort, said Atlanta coach Mike Woodson. "It was a great game to come back against a good team that is teetering for a playoff spot as well. Sacramento is playing for something. I thought from beginning to end we were so focused. Our defense was as good as it's been all year across the board. This team can score points and we did a good job across the board defensively."

Corliss Willamson deposited 14 points, Kevin Martin added 13 and Ron Artest 12 for the Kings, who have lost six of their last seven games.

Sacramento sits 2 1/2 games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Sacramento scored their season low in a quarter with eight in the third period and trailed 78-50 heading into the final quarter.

The Hawks held the Kings at arms length in the fourth quarter.

"This was an old-fashioned butt-kicking," said Kings forward Shareef Abdur- Rahim. "There's nothing you can say about this game other than that there are no realistic excuses about tonight's game. We just didn't play well."

Sacramento shot just 37.8 percent and were 3-of-20 from three-point range while Sacramento shot 48.3 percent from the field.

The Hawks, who held a 31-21 lead after the first 12 minutes, went on a 12-2 run stretching from the end of the first quarter into the beginning of the second and led 35-21 early in the second.

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch

Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.

Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
